Playful Modular System
Assignment get an old chair and cut it top to bottom. My take on this chair assignment was to bring the old chair back to its essence. This can be seen in the proportion, joins and shapes of the newly designed chair.
Playful
Through simplifying I ended up with cilinders and cubes. I made a system that looks like a toy for children, but then scaled up. This makes the design look very playful.
Modular
The great thing about this design is that it has unlimited possibilities. You could make almost anything with this modular system.
System
This system could be worth millions. If you combine the materials and hours, this prototype will be worth €2025,-
A short reflection
Looking back on the design process I would make it even more modular. To make it even simpler to construct and deconstruct.
